From June 2nd to June 5th, 2026, Belgrade Cultural Association hosted the second edition of the Belgrade Art Salon, bringing together artists from Europe and the Americas in a unique celebration of contemporary creativity. ARTISTS OF EXCEPTIONAL DISTINCTION
(VERY GOOD)
Entering the Competition for Artist of the Year
The highest recognition of this year's Salon belongs to artists whose work demonstrated artistic maturity, originality, strong visual identity and a highly developed personal language.
Maria Chiara Ledri (Italy) presented expressive and emotionally charged paintings that successfully unite symbolism, contemporary figurative elements and personal mythology. Her work demonstrates both technical confidence and a distinctive artistic vision.
Enrique Blagui (Spain) distinguished himself through an exceptionally refined drawing practice. His works reveal remarkable discipline, conceptual clarity and an ability to transform line into a powerful narrative and symbolic instrument.
Isabelle Jean (Canada) impressed visitors with sculptural works that combine organic forms, emotional depth and material experimentation. Her artistic language feels authentic, mature and fully realized.
Advancing to the Artist of the Year competition represents the highest recognition awarded at the Belgrade Art Salon and places these artists among the most distinguished international creators presented by the Belgrade Cultural Association during the year.
DEVELOPING ARTISTIC PRACTICE
(BAD)
Every international exhibition serves not only to celebrate achievement but also to encourage artistic growth.
Dragana Olah (Hungary) presented works that reveal enthusiasm and creative energy while also indicating areas where conceptual development, compositional confidence and artistic focus may continue to mature through future practice and experimentation.
The Salon recognizes the value of artistic development as an ongoing process and supports artists at every stage of their creative journey.
CONCLUSION
Belgrade Art Salon 2026 once again confirmed the importance of international artistic dialogue. Bringing together artists from different countries, generations and artistic traditions, the exhibition created a space where ideas, cultures and experiences could meet through the universal language of art.
Beyond the artworks themselves, the Salon fostered conversations, friendships and professional connections that will continue long after the exhibition closed. As Belgrade strengthens its position as a meeting point for international contemporary art, the Belgrade Art Salon remains committed to recognizing artistic excellence, encouraging emerging talent and creating opportunities for meaningful cultural exchange.
One of the defining characteristics of the Belgrade Art Salon is its commitment not only to exhibition but also to artistic evaluation. Following careful review of the exhibited works, artists were grouped according to the overall artistic impact, originality, consistency and future potential demonstrated through their participation.
